0800Hrs Pickup from the your residence/ hotel and are driven to the National Museum of Kenya that is hardly 5 kilometers from the city centre. It showcases the country’s wealthy heritage and is built around four distinct themes i.e the country’s nature, culture, history and contemporary art.Right adjacent the Museum is the snake park which houses various types of snakes found in Kenya.
1030Hrs You are transferred to the David Sheldrake trust a mid-term shelter for wounded and orphaned elephant calves that have been rescued from life threatening calamities including and not limited to accidents, poachers snares or orphan hood.
Your visit here is timed to correspond with the calves feeding hour.
During the visit the animal handlers take this opportunity to introduce you to each calf, narrate the predicament that lead to its rescue before inviting questions from visitors on this program.
1230Hrs You driver guide will pick a city restaurant in the environs of Karen, a leafy suburb of Nairobi, for you to have lunch. (clients pay for selves)
1345Hrs You are driver to the Giraffe Centre for an opportunity to feed giraffes from your palms. Depending on your sense of adventure you are allowed to trick the giraffe into kissing you. Its saliva is said to be septic.
An elective visit to Kazuri beads factory is provided. On other day other than Sunday you get to watch and learn the intricate process of turning clay into glittering shinny and colorful African jewelry. However, this being a Sunday you are free to visit admire the Jewelry and perhaps buy some souvenirs for your loved ones.
1600hrs You are dropped off at your hotel. The evening is spend at leisure
